Re: MARCO!?!?!
Fri, May 19, 2006 - 5:55 AMOkay looks like we can come and hang out pre-show at Fringe. As long as some of us can stick around after 10:30 (when the Grinder's thing get's going) we can come as early as we'd like to. I'm thinking of getting there around 7 and jamming all night. Like I said, you are all more than welcome to come! Sounds like it'll be a really great time! -

Re: MARCO!?!?!
Fri, May 19, 2006 - 10:09 AMI like your chaos idea. I e-mailed Rich and I'm not sure how structured he's wanting the party to be but I'd just as soon dance my ass off as much as I please and drink as much as I please and burn myself as much as I please, all while sporting some heavily armored boobies! -

Re: MARCO!?!?!
Fri, May 19, 2006 - 12:39 PM(lol) Weapons of mass destruction! ;) Sounds like (at least for the most part) it will be either as laid back or as formal as we all choose to make it. I asked him about coming early and he didn't seem to think there would be a problem as long as there was someone left after 10:30 since that's what his flyers say ;) I'm thinking sometime between 6 and 7. Lots of drinkage and a bag of touch up stuff. Goddess knows I could use the exercise! -

On a side note....
Fri, May 19, 2006 - 12:43 PMIs anyone out there still interested in doing the plaza thing at some point? That sounded like such a blast! -

Re: On a side note....
Fri, May 19, 2006 - 7:58 PMThat fringe thing sounds cool. And what plaza thing? -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
Re: On a side note....
Sun, May 21, 2006 - 11:46 AMThe idea of busking at some random point. We've talked about it a thousand times but we've not been able to actually DO it yet. -

Re: On a side note....
Sun, May 21, 2006 - 8:02 PMME ME! I AM IN ON THE PLAZA THING! -

Re: On a side note....
Sun, May 21, 2006 - 8:33 PMSUre I'd like to do it since I don't have much going on right now. I thought we needed a permit or something like that? I -

Re: On a side note....
Mon, May 22, 2006 - 6:06 AMYou need a permit for a park, but I'm not sure about street busking. I've heard that as long as you're not touching the buildings, you're fine. There are a ton of buskers on the plaza, I doubt there are permits involved. Fighting for space might be another thing. Better plan on wearing that armor... -

Re: On a side note....
Mon, May 22, 2006 - 6:14 AMTribe is the sh*t man... I learned a new word today! BUSKER! -

Re: On a side note....
Mon, May 22, 2006 - 7:38 AMYeah the plaza sounds like fun to me. Some friday after work? Or just have practice on Wed. on the plaza and put out a hat? -
-
Re: On a side note....
Mon, May 22, 2006 - 8:39 AMI'll drum :) Unless....well....you prefer canned music :( -
-
Re: On a side note....
Mon, May 22, 2006 - 3:10 PMYay! :) Any day works for me. If need be, I get off work at noon and I can call and bug people about the permit thing. As for practice, I can probably skip class one night this coming week if need be ;)

Mon, May 22, 2006 - 6:22 PM(de-lurking)
Hi all
Re: the Plaza thang,
Gabe & Jason go down there all the time & put out a hat.
They take their guitars & play around & usually make enough to go eat somewhere.
No permit or license needed as long as you're not stopping traffic or blocking any entrance.
It should be a blast!!

Official and such?
Thu, May 25, 2006 - 8:28 AMOK so over here:
www.kcfringe.org/applications.html
we find that May 1st and 15th were deadlines to be "official" performers and such... did anyone manage to fill one of these things out, or are we "on the fringe" so to speak?

Re: Official and such?
Thu, May 25, 2006 - 9:54 AMI'm fairly sure Rich, the announcer/organizer of the Grinders thing, filled those out once he found out who was going to try and make it. -
-
Re: Official and such?
Thu, May 25, 2006 - 2:36 PMOf course now that I put it in perspective... if it's about Fringe, I for one don't need to be organized or part of the original deal.
I'm _supposed_ to hang on the fringe! :-)
