Yeah I was extremly paranoid when I talked with the family as well. I showed them as many photos as I could gather (even the gothic ones) and told them we are soooooo not anything like cabaret. They said they actually want a "fun stage show" with dancing but also goofy stuff thrown in. They've had Ziana do some cabaret stuff for them and they LOVE her but they have almost half of the wedding/guests that are American so they wanted something similar to a ren fest show from what they told me. I also had a long talk with them about "skinny dancers" and got any worries of that out of the way. I started out telling them thanks but that we probably weren't the right group for the job. Then after talking with about three people from the family/wedding now, it looks like they want something a bit different. I talked with Sahar and Godha at school the other night for a while about some of the acts we open for and while I expected them to be a bit weirded out, they were actually really eager to check out the more "edgy" acts. I discussed worrying over offending them as well and so far, they've all laughed at that ;) Anyhow if you change your mind, it could be fuuuuun. You only live once and there's free food...and......unicorns!?! (is this working at all?) ;)
